Multicultural Wedding at Hacienda Sac Chich 💛 Sarah & Jason
All the way from California, United States, Sarah and Jason decided to have a destination wedding at Hacienda Sac Chich, a spectacular and tropical place located in Yucatán.
When two people become one
The wedding day started at Casa Sisal with Sarah’s hair and makeup, a very natural look that together with her hair up and the flower details in the center made the most perfect combination.
The tea ceremony
Before putting on her wedding dress and in honor of the bride’s Asian roots, the couple had a small tea ceremony, something very common in Asian weddings where grandparents and parents bless the wedding and the young couple offers tea to their family as a symbol of gratitude.
At the end of the tea ceremony, Sarah put on her dress, a simple but beautiful white chiffon dress. As for Jason, he wore a navy blue suit with a white shirt and brown shoes. Both wore a fresh and casual look that matched the intimate wedding they celebrated.
Smiles that fill the moment
The moment of the first look arrived and the couple met in one of the gardens of the old house. When they finally saw each other, both smiled and shared glances of happiness that surrounded that moment.

The Hacienda Sac Chich located just 30 minutes from Mérida was the setting that Sarah & Jason chose for the most special day of their love story. Their wedding was a multicultural event with a combination of Asian elements, typical of Sarah’s family’s culture, and the fusion with Mexican elements chosen by the couple who gave their guests a memorable event.
Arrival of guests
The guests began to arrive at the hacienda and were directed to one of the gardens of “Casa Vieja”, one of the hacienda’s spaces, where the symbolic ceremony would take place. About 60 guests traveled from different parts of the world to share the love and happiness of the couple. Once they were settled in their respective places, they took their seats and waited for the bride to enter.
The promise of eternal love
Sarah walked up on her dad’s arm as he led her down the aisle where Jason was anxiously waiting for her to begin the symbolic ceremony offered by a minister, which took place in one of the gardens.
It was a symbolic ceremony full of emotions where both swore eternal love to each other in front of all their family and loved ones and then exchanged rings as a sign of the promise of eternal love.
As they walked down the aisle, the guests threw rose petals on the newlyweds and they could only smile as love was in the air.
A tropical & romantic atmosphere
The reception took place in the central patio of the hacienda, where wooden tables placed around the dance floor decorated the space with tropical flowers and long candles that gave a romantic and fresh atmosphere.
As dusk began to fall, the couple made their entrance amidst applause from family and friends who welcomed the newly married couple. More than a formal wedding, it felt like a family party, as everyone enjoyed the moment, forgetting protocols and formality.
Mexican party on order!
After dinner, the bar opened and tequila and mezcal became the favorites of the guests, some of them had never had the opportunity to try a good mezcal with orange and chili, the specialty here in Mexico.
Before starting the party, the couple surprised their guests with a very colorful piñata in the center of the dance floor and all the guests had the opportunity to hit it, between laughter and fun the piñata broke and dozens of candies fell while the guests picked them up.
Lots of love on the dance floor
After this, the first dance began and the couple could be seen relaxed and happy as they danced before the eyes of their family and friends, all the guests looked happy to have the opportunity to share these important moments with them.
When the first dance ended Sarah’s father’s favorite song started to play so they both went to the dance floor to dance to it and share a lovely moment between father and daughter.
The party started and all the guests enjoyed this beautiful union between Sarah and Jason. Dancing and singing they congratulated the happy couple for a marriage that will last a lifetime.
