E-session wedding in Merida, you’ll love it! 💟💕

E-session weddings have become a trend in recent years since they serve as a rehearsal for the photographs taken on the most special day of your life. In addition, they also help create more unique moments with your couple before the grand day. If you’re planning to get married in Merida, we assure you that it’s the perfect place for a spectacular photo session. Read on to discover what our beautiful state has for you.

The emblematic Paseo de Montejo Avenue

One of the most emblematic areas of Merida is Paseo Montejo, the most important avenue in the city. It extends from the Santa Ana neighborhood to the exit to the port of Progreso.  All along the avenue, you will be able to appreciate French-style constructions such as the Palacio Cantón, Las Casas Gemelas, and the Casa Peón de Regil; as well as the representative Monument to the Fatherland, where you will want to cross the street and reach the foot of the monument to appreciate the stone carving that tells us the history of Mexico in a very singular way.

You can also see La Quinta Montes Molina, of neoclassical architecture, which is a representative construction of the Porfiriato period. It’s also a venue for events that you have to include in your wedding location list.

If you get married in Yucatan you can take advantage of this emblematic avenue to have a photo session as a couple. There are countless constructions rich in architecture that will be the perfect background for unrepeatable photographs.

The former railway station, a magical place

The former train station of Merida was designed with a Mexican neo-colonial architectural style. For more than half a century it was the place where many people went to travel to the nearby towns of Merida and even to Veracruz. After its permanent closure in 1980, it opened again in 2014 as the Escuela Superior de Artes de Yucatán.

Today, the former Central Railway Station is a cultural space and museum where locomotives, wagons, and trucks from the early 20th century are exhibited. In this space, people take the opportunity to take pictures.

We recommend visiting this old but emblematic location because if you like the vintage style it will be the perfect place for a pre-wedding session with your couple. In the background, you will have ancient trains that were an important part of the history of Yucatan.

The streets of Merida tell you stories

Merida is the city that has unique corners where you can feel the essence of the Yucatan culture. The atmosphere you feel in the streets of the city is pleasant, unique, and fresh. So you’ll be fascinated to do a pre-wedding session in its iconic streets.

Located between the Merida Cathedral and the Fernando García Ponce Museum (Macay), the Paseo de la Revolución is a strategic point for all Yucatecans. Month after month, works of art by Mexican and foreign artists are exhibited. This place is ideal if you are about to do a photo session. You will love it!

One of the favorite neighborhoods of the Yucatecans, and of course of the tourists who visit Merida, is the Barrio de Santiago which is located to the west of the historic center. This place is very crowded, because every day people gather to delight their palates with the exquisite Yucatecan food, besides appreciating its iconic church.

It’s also a fun place for all those who enjoy good dancing because the “Musical Remembrances” brings people together to dance to the music of yesteryear. So if you are thinking about where to do a pre-wedding session, this is the perfect place, your photographs will be unique.

Mérida is the place where you will find unique spaces to capture all the emotions you will experience in the company of your partner, so don’t hesitate and have the best photo session.
