Great Gatsby Wedding at Hacienda Tekik de Regil 💎 Lorena & Jorge

Lorena and Jorge after 13 years of friendship, decided to unite their lives in an important step for them: marriage. And so, from the city of Tamaulipas, they both decided that Yucatan would be the perfect destination to celebrate their Great Gatsby wedding at Tekik de Regil Hacienda. 

Great Gatsby wedding in Yucatan

The morning of the wedding began with Lorena getting ready. She spent a moment of happiness and pure relaxation in one of the rooms of the hacienda Tekik de Regil, where she enjoyed her hair and makeup service. 

The beautiful bride chose a semi up-do hairstyle that matched perfectly with the headdress around her head which had a flower and a few feathers, very much like 1920’s style. After her hair was done, It was time to put on her great gatsby wedding dress with the help of her mother who was with her in the room. The mermaid cut dress with lace details on the top and cauda made Lorena a very elegant bride who looked like an actress out of a Hollywood movie. As for Jorge, he wore a navy blue suit and white shirt.

Great Gatsby themed wedding

When it was time for the first look, Lorena and Jorge met in the corridors of the wedding place, like in a movie scene. The couple then had a photoshoot before the religious ceremony where they would unite their lives in the presence of God. 

The couple chose to get married in a religious ceremony in the Hacienda’s chapel, a beautiful building on the outskirts of the hacienda adorned with imposing columns.

Modern Great Gatsby wedding

The chapel boasted white and neutral-toned flowers adorning the space, complemented by elegant white chairs for guests eagerly anticipating the cortege’s entrance.

The priest welcomed everyone, and Jorge walked down the aisle holding his mother’s hand, followed by the bridesmaids and groomsmen. Finally, Lorena appeared hand in hand with her father, walking her down the aisle to Jorge. The ceremony commenced, and the priest ensured all guests felt involved in the beautiful love story of this couple.

The groomsmen stepped forward with the ribbon, rings, and arras to bless and present them to the couple during the marriage ritual after the readings and psalm were recited.

The ceremony culminated in an emotional kiss between the newlyweds. Met with applause from all the guests celebrating the start of a new chapter in Lorena and Jorge’s lives.

Great Gatsby wedding decor

Since the wedding reception was inspired by the Great Gatsby a classic carriage could be seen at the entrance, matching the atmosphere of the twenties. The party started with the entrance of the bride and groom, everyone cheered for the happiness of these young lovers. 

The saxophone’s melody opened the dance floor, beckoning the bride and groom to share an emotional dance with their parents. Undoubtedly one of the evening’s most touching moments.

The evening brimmed with surprises. Ballet dancers clad in fringed dresses and vibrant wigs performed a Charleston-style dance inspired by The Great Gatsby as the first dance. To contrast, there was a folkloric dance typical of our state, the Jarana.

These dance numbers left the guests excited, surprised, and of course, ready to start enjoying the dance floor. The music started to play and all the attendees approached the dance floor to celebrate love.
