Unforgettable Wedding at Hacienda Tekik de Regil 🏵️ Monica & Jorge
An unforgettable wedding was experienced at Hacienda Tekik de Regil Yucatan, located 30 minutes from the city of Merida, became the perfect setting for the love story of Monica & Jorge.
This couple chose this beautiful hacienda from the end of the 16th century for its architectural beauty. Upon arriving at Tekik de Regil for the first time, no one can hide their amazement at the monumental grandeur of the main house, whose facade measures 70 meters and has an elegant and wide staircase that leads to the terrace.
The destination wedding was a relatively private event attended by 80 guests, including many children, had a very natural and cultural aspect to it, as the hacienda lends itself to it. The bride and groom prepared various details so that the little ones could also enjoy the celebration.
Unforgettable wedding day
On the day of the wedding, the couple arrived early so they could get ready in time for their first look. During the morning they were each in a room enjoying the intimacy that this historic venue offers to its guests.
The long-awaited and favorite moment arrived: “the first look”. Monica and Jorge met in the corridors of the hacienda.
When they saw each other, they were both surprised as they looked amazing and ready for one of the best days of their lives.
Unforgettable wedding moments
Monica and Jorge chose to have their religious ceremony in the chapel of the hacienda, a church of great magnitude that boasts the classical elements of the Greco-Roman era and an elegant style.
The guests began to arrive and the chapel was ready to receive them, adorned with flowers in fresh tones, welcoming all the attendees who upon arrival were led to the ceremony.
Once everyone was in their places, the procession began to enter, led by the groom. At the end came the bride who excitedly met her future husband at the altar to receive the initial blessing from the priest.
The ceremony was a very special celebration, full of unforgettable and emotional moments for both the bride and groom and for all the attendees who were happy to witness the union of Monica and Jorge. Being a religious ceremony, we could see the couple exchanging rings, arras and being blessed by joining them with the ribbon.
At the end of the celebration, the newlyweds left through the main aisle of the chapel to be congratulated by their loved ones who, amidst applause and hugs, celebrated the new union that now had God’s blessing.
Unforgettable wedding ideas
At the end of the ceremony in the beautiful Greco-Roman style chapel, the guests moved on to another wedding spot, the powerhouse space at the hacienda was waiting for them for the welcome cocktail in beige tones and with a vintage essence that decorated the space with flowers in blue vases to give it that natural and fresh touch.
During this moment, the guests and the happy new marriage were able to enjoy cocktails and canapés that circulated throughout the space to liven up the moment. At the end of the cocktail, all the guests were directed to the main house where yellow murals welcomed them. The almost 100 guests of the couple were guided to their place where they could breathe the freshness and joy that the ambiance gave.
The furniture had vintage-style tables adorned with white and peach flowers that together with the lighting, formed a warm and harmonious space.
To welcome and liven up the evening, a live band played soft jazz music while the guests enjoyed the 3-course dinner which was interrupted at the end by a surprise toast in honor of the couple, all attendees raised their glasses and wished the couple all the happiness in this new stage of their lives.
It was time for the cake and Monica and Jorge moved to the dance floor located in the front garden of the main house to then have a moment of intimacy and romance as they shared with their guests their first dance as husband and wife. In the end, the couple’s parents approached and Monica danced with her father and Jorge with his mother, giving us one of the most emotional moments of the night.
The dance floor was opened and the band started to play, they entertained the party until late at night and at all times you could see the couple and the guests enjoying the celebration in honor of Monica and Jorge’s love.
