Destination Wedding at Cenote X Batun 🦋 Adriana & Kashan
A cenote wedding is a perfect setting! In these magical places, time seems to stand still and the atmosphere is filled with unparalleled mysticism. This time we were part of the Destination Wedding of a beautiful couple ready to say yes, embraced by family and friends. Meet them!
Magic Love: Destination Wedding at Cenote X Batun
A few hours after mid-afternoon, the couple was preparing for the happiest encounter of their lives. The news of Adriana and Kashan’s wedding began to circulate in one of the most fascinating cenotes in our state. No wonder, such a great love deserved a very sacred place.
The centerpieces, souvenirs and traditional Mexican sweets were already on the table for what would be a magical celebration. Guests were beginning to arrive excited about the dress codes of the region. The linen guayaberas and beige and white dresses stood out.

Traditional Mexican Wedding: Union in Cenote X Batun
The couple was overflowing with love in large quantities. Their complicity was spontaneous and their smiles were the gesture of so much joy. Adriana wore a mermaid-cut dress in lace fabrics and a vaporous veil on her hips. Her spectacular pink Mexican shoes confirmed her style. She loves Mexico!
Kashan’s look was a linen suit and white sneakers, worthy of an outdoor wedding. When we met them, we knew that life had given them the best reason to be happy. Embracing their guests, the couple walked to the center of the Mayan wedding ritual that would unite them in body and spirit, led by a Mayan priest.
The four elements were evoked to strengthen the union. The couple offered corn, cocoa, flowers, honey, and seeds to the Mayan gods, and then exchanged vows and rings in a moving speech. Together with the guests, they drank balché, which is the sacred drink of the Mayas. The aroma of incense purified the environment. The torches and the sound of the snails complemented the context. There was pure charm in the air.
Weddings in Cenotes: The 60 Wishes
Before the emotional speeches and tokens of affection, one of Adriana’s friends gave the happy couple 60 butterflies that were released at the same time by all the guests. Each butterfly represented a wish, with the hope that when they reached the sky it would become a reality.
At the moment following the long-awaited “Yes I do“, the now-married couple walked happily among their family and dearest friends, who watched them waiting for each of their good wishes to come true.

Yucatecan Flavors in Destination Wedding
As we watched the sunset over the horizon and were surrounded by beautiful vegetation and turquoise waters, the guests were welcomed with a variety of signature drinks in which the traditional tequila could not be missed (like authentic Mexicans!).
To whet the appetite, canapés such as the traditional panuchos, cochinita, kibis, pulpo en axiote with tostadas de maíz conquered the demanding palate of the guests who arrived from different parts of the world. A feast is worthy of gods!
Cenotes, magic, music, and love: Destination wedding in Yucatan

Hi, I’m wondering how to get in contact with the management of this particular cenote so I can find prices and perhaps organize my own ceremony/reservation. Do they have a website? Can you provide other contact information? Thanks!
