We share with you the beautiful story of Michelle & Angel who had a careful choice of every detail. Bringing together Chinese and Mexican culture in the best way was not easy, but with a bit of dedication, a beautiful result was achieved. We all enjoyed a myriad of sensations and had an incredible time!
Upon their arrival in Yucatan, the family of the bride and groom had some fun excursions, getting to know the most beautiful part of this land, visiting the great pyramid of Kukulcan in Chichen Itzá, the Mayan city of Uxmal, the municipality of Izamal and several cenotes. They enjoyed every moment leaving the best for the last one, the wedding at Hacienda Tamchen!
The haciendas in Yucatan are the perfect combination of elegance and peculiarity, with an architectural beauty integrated into a natural and cultural environment. The hacienda Tamchén, in the Yucatan peninsula, gives us beautiful spaces and landscapes. This is how M & A selected the spaces they liked the most and adjusted their ideas to this beautiful enclosure.
China, Wedding Tea ceremony
A wedding that mixed the best of each culture. The tea ceremony, like the Mayan ceremony, thanks and blesses this union. Specifically, this ceremony addresses gratitude to the families of the bride and groom, being an intimate ritual, very emotional and with many symbolic elements of Chinese culture.
Angel had to overcome a series of challenges (like imitating a ballet dance and doing a funny dance, among other challenges) in the company of his friends, this to reach Michelle, who was waiting patiently for her beloved. Once M & A were together, they went to the «Angel’s home» (a room of the hacienda) to perform the tea ceremony, they thanked their families by offering a tea of roses and red fruits. Between laughter and tears, an intimate and emotional atmosphere was enjoyed
Getting Ready for the Mayan ceremony
Enthusiastic, both had an outfit change to a more modern and cosmopolitan bridal style. Michelle wore a white dress with embroidery, stunning makeup, and elegant hairstyle. She received company and help from her ladies to adjust those important details.
Angel decided to take some time alone, getting ready to wear a dark blue suit, a white shirt with the special touch of a pastel pink bow. Both enjoyed a glass of Champagne to liven up the moment.
Rose petals, love and abundance: Mayan Ceremony
A carpet of white roses dominated the ceremony and transparent chairs. The atmosphere was filled with an unparalleled floral scent. That’s how M & A began its Mayan wedding ceremony. The priest and his assistants had already prepared the necessary elements for the ritual, and the sound of the seashells gave the starting point for the ceremony.
This ceremony has many elements and meanings. The Mayan wedding consists of invoking the «Great Creator» to bless this bond, honoring all the paths traveled in the life of the bride and groom and the decisions taken to realize this union. Michelle, Angel and their families were very excited to know this ritual and feel the blessing of the Mayan priest.
After the ceremony the couple had their photographic session, intimate and simple, framing the best day of their life. A welcome cocktail began for all the guests, enjoying some drinks and music of Yucatecan trova, a moment of relaxation before the celebration.
Yucatan, Mexico, and China in every detail
Flowers and roses, the protagonists at all times. With the meaning of abundance and love, M & A placed them in everything. The furniture had a neutral color, white in each of the elements, providing elegance and subtlety.
The unforgettable, a delicious and huge circular cake 70 cm in diameter!
Bride and groom’s families and friends celebrated and had as much fun as any other day, they appreciated the beauty of the hacienda, impacted by each of its spaces that were divinely illuminated. A Yucatecan banquet was the ideal.
The words and dedications of love were not long in coming. It was not until the first dance that the fireworks exploded, drawing beautiful lights and colors in the sky. Finally, the dance and enjoyment took over the atmosphere, accompanied by a perfect climate, which was a day pleasantly unforgettable for everyone. We will always carry them in the heart of Yucatanlove!
