Destination Wedding at Tekik de Regil👰💘🤵 Monica & Ian
Monica and Ian, a young Mexican-American couple, traveled from the United States to celebrate their wedding in Yucatan at the hacienda Tekik de Regil, which was chosen to host their memorable event and enjoy an unforgettable day with their guests.
Beginning of the Journey
Their magical day began early in the morning when the couple arrived in the company of their mothers, sister, and grandmother so that each could get ready in their rooms at the hacienda. The bride accompanied by her mother and grandmother enjoyed the make-up and hairstyling service. When the time came Monica put on her dress which had details of jewelry, lace and ruffles on the neckline, a very youthful A-line style that was perfect to look beautiful on her long awaited day.
On his side, the groom, who was wearing an elegant black tuxedo that would match perfectly with the bride, was also with his mother and sister in another room waiting for the moment when they could see each other again.
Can’t help falling in love
When they were both ready, Moni ran to meet Ian in the halls of the hacienda, and seeing her so spectacular and beautiful in her dress, the groom couldn’t help but fall in love with her all over again.
The couple decided to have a photo session throughout the hacienda to keep that moment as the best of memories, later their closest family members joined them to continue with the photographs on the stairs of the main house.
Dancing down the aisle
As the guests began to arrive, the couple and their small court waited inside the room for everyone to take their place, the ceremony took place in the back aisle of the main house, a hand-painted place just like the main entrance
Once everyone was seated, Ian walked down the aisle and the couple’s parents began to walk down the hall, at the end Monica walked dancing, laughing, and enjoying the best moment of her life.
Vows of love
The ceremony was a short moment planned by the couple, the minister welcomed and offered a few words to the attendees, then invited two of the couple’s best friends to say a few words. The couple exchanged vows and exchanged rings to pledge their eternal love.
A fun Mariachi surprise
At the end of the ceremony, the couple and all the guests stopped at the machine house where a cocktail with drinks and snacks was waiting for them. A saxophone was playing until suddenly some trumpets and guitars started to play, the mariachi arrived and all the guests were happy to see a live mariachi.
Another surprise awaited and a cousin of the couple who was among the group of mariachis came up to where his colleagues were and asking for the microphone began to sing and dance with them. The couple also joined in and the whole family ended up singing along to the rhythm. The mariachi accompanied the couple and their guests to the main house where a tropical and colorful reception awaited for all the assistants.
The first of a lifetime dance
When the couple arrived they had their first dance, a song sung by the mariachi was the melody that the couple selected for this. In the end, the parents came over to dance with the couple, but the grandparents did not want to miss the opportunity so they danced with the new married couple as well.
After the dancing, everyone took their place and dinner began, a gourmet Yucatecan food was served, the guests who came from other parts of Mexico and the United States enjoyed these excellent dishes.
One last surprise
The surprises keep coming for the couple on their wedding day. Before the dinner was over, a folkloric ballet group appeared on the stairs to encourage everyone to get up from their chairs. Many guests ended up dancing with the ballet dancers, starting a party that lasted almost all night long, making it an unforgettable wedding.
