Planning a wedding can be a complicated process, with many decisions to be made; but after a long way, comes the satisfaction of celebrating an incredible wedding. On this occasion, we accompany Diane & Carlos from day one to organize that special day. They traveled many kilometers to get to Yucatan, being here they fell in love with Hacienda Tekik de Regil, so they chose it as the location for one of the most important celebrations of their lives, their wedding. Together with hundreds of guests, they were able to enjoy this evening in the light.
Romantic encounters at Hacienda Yucateca
The couple, together with their closest friends, arrived at the hacienda very early to start the Getting Ready. They enjoyed the comforts of the place, the rooms, and the pool, where they refreshed themselves for a moment.
After being ready for the ceremony it was time for the long-awaited first look. This special moment was held in the halls of the main house of the hacienda, a wonderful corner with original structures renovated with more than a century of antiquity. We were happy to see Carlos’ reaction to seeing Diane in her tight lace dress and her bouquet of gannets.
Religious Ceremony in iconic Merida Church
Diane & Carlos’ religious ceremony was at the Third Order Church in downtown Merida. The couple entered the church by hand after the cortege, it was an uncommon way of making their entrance but they and all the guests loved it. It was a very emotional ceremony, where the couple’s love and words for each other made some cry.
After the priest declared them husband and wife, Diane & Carlos left through the aisle of the church to transport themselves and their guests to Hacienda Tekik de Regil, where the reception was waiting for them.
An unforgettable celebration
The guests were welcomed with a cocktail and canapés at the main house’s gates. Then, the newlyweds invited all the guests to the hacienda’s central garden to enjoy an international dinner, with 100% Yucatecan touches.
At the main table were Diane & Carlos, accompanied by their best friends. At the end of the dinner, Carlos’s brother and best friend dedicated some words of happiness to the couple. The last one to offer a few words was Carlos himself, who thanked all the guests for traveling from different parts of the United States to accompany them on this important day. At the end of his words, he invited Diane to the center of the floor for her first dance as spouses.
We were lucky to see how the Mexican-American couple offered their best steps to the rhythm of salsa, a style of music that they both love. At the end of it, Carlos grabbed his mother to share a dance with her, while Diane did the same with her dad. The four of them enjoying the dance floor together.
The party started and everyone enjoyed the music. After midnight, the bride and groom invited the guests to send their best wishes to the sky with cantanya balloons.
The night ended with the rhythm of the mariachi music that gave the guests a Mexican experience. We invite you to read the other blogs about this wonderful wedding, so you can discover all the details.
